The Webster County High School Class of 2023 celebrated graduation in a Commencement Ceremony in the school gymnasium on May 13 with the theme of "One Community, One School, One Family."
Valedictorian Alexander Mejia Lopez's speech indicated that the theme is definitely accurate, as he said, "Every single person in this class I can call a friend. ... We will all remain connected to each other in the next chapter of our lives. ... I will follow closely so I can see the kind of life everyone will create."
The valedictorian also thanked school faculty and staff members for many years of guidance, as well as parents for support and encouragement.
