Schley Wildcats fight hard but fall in State Semifinals

The Schley County High Wildcats fought the weather and a really good team last week in the Semifinals (Final 4) of the Class A Division II State Baseball Playoffs, but lost 6-2, 5-3 to Emanuel County Institute (ECI) in the best-of-three series, falling just short of a chance to play for the state title.
The Cats had another fantastic season, winning the Region 6 Championship with an undefeated region record (12-0), advancing all the way to the State Semifinals, and posting a 26-10 overall record.
