The No. 1 ranked Schley County High Wildcats won a wild one and showed resilience in a 28-24 come-from-behind victory over Early County in the quarterfinals of the State Playoffs last Friday, Nov. 24 in front of an appreciative hometown crowd in Wildcat Stadium.
The game featured five lead changes and the visitors mounted a long drive to take a 10-point lead - 24-14 - with only 9:29 left in the game. However, the Cats countered with a pair of late drives on their own, including one that ended with a 21-yard touchdown pass from Jay Kanazawa to Carson Westbrook to take a 28-24 lead with only 1:42 left on the clock.
