Both of Chattahoochee County High School's basketball teams are headed to the State Playoffs.
Lady Panthers
The Chattco girls team will represent Region 6A as the No. 2 seed in the playoffs after advancing to the Region Championship Game and narrowly falling to No. 1 seed Taylor County. As this newspaper was being printed Tuesday, February 20, the Lady Panthers were hosting Bowdon High School, the No. 3 seed out of Region 7A, in the first round of "State."
Chattco just missed winning the region title. They fell to Taylor County in a very competitive game, 55-50. Jessika Carter (17 points) and Yaelah Protho (12) were the team's top scorers.
