The Chattahoochee County High varsity girls basketball team won two more games in the State Championship Tournament to advance to the Elite Eight (quarterfinals). As this issue of the newspaper was headed to the printing press, the Lady Panthers were headed to Homerville to take on Clinch County (Region 2A champs) with a spot in the Final Four on the line.
Sweet 16 Victory: Chattco won a thrilling victory over Johnson County (Region 5 champs) in the Sweet 16 round, edging the Lady Trojans by one point, 44-43.
Yaelah Protho and Makiyah Clark led the scoring with 11 points each.
