Commissioners of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County voted to offer the county manager position to a former employee, approved an agreement with an engineer to begin plans on a proposed sewage system, discussed concerns about the official overseeing structure of 911, and more during their regular monthly meeting on March 5.
After interviewing several finalists for the position, the commissioners agreed unanimously to offer the county manager position to Thomas Weaver, who is definitely not a stranger to the county or to the job. Weaver was previously the county manager for eight years. Commissioners noted that they will now have to see if he officially accepts their offer.
Officials approved a $16,600 lump sum for Barge Engineering to move forward...
