The Flint Energies Foundation granted Schley County Family Connection Collaborative $5,800. The requested funds will be used to purchase books for the summer reading program.
John Greene, Schley County Family Connection Collaborative representative stated, "These funds will allow us to purchase 1,000 scholastic books, reading incentives, and one Rising Voice Kit for 328 children in kindergarten through third grade who attend Schley County Elementary School."
Greene added, "This summer reading program will encourage more parents to read to their children."
