The Commission of the Unified Government voted to officially hire Thomas Weaver as County Manager, approved a couple of requests for Conditional Use Permits, heard from a representative of a company thinking of bringing fiber internet to the area, and discussed various items during a called meeting/work session on March 25.
Commissioners had previously agreed to offer the County Manager position to Weaver, but waiting until this meeting to make it official, after agreeing to terms, etc. Weaver previously held the position for eight years and has deep ties to the community.
