Residents in every county in The Journal's coverage area - Chattahoochee County, Marion County, Schley County, Stewart County, Webster County - are invited to attend the local part of the Worldwide Bible Reading Marathon this Sunday morning, July 14 at their respective County Courthouses.
\u8203 Georgia has the second largest number of counties in the United States (159), second only to Texas, which has 254 counties. Due to the considerable number of counties, the readings, when divided between all of the 159 counties, allow the entire Bible to be read in the State of Georgia on the same day.
While participants and visitors are requested to arrive at their Courthouse at 7 am for an opening message, everyone will plan to begin the actual scripture readings at...
