Honoring America's Fallen Heroes

Buena Vista, Ellaville, Cusseta support Run for the Fallen Mission
Ellaville, Buena Vista, and Cusseta all recently played important roles in a mission to honor fallen military members and support their families as the 2024 Georgia Run for the Fallen passed through the area.
The small group of runners and support crew completed a three-day, 164-mile run, from Milledgeville to Fort Moore, stopping each mile at Hero Markers for ceremonies in which the names of service members who have died since the Global War on Terror Era began were spoken aloud. By the end of the mission 820 heroes were honored. Surviving family members were present at many of the markers.
