Schley County High scored a big region win over rival Marion County last Friday in Wildcat Stadium. It was a close, hard-fought game but the Wildcats clawed their way to a lead late in the first half and pulled away late in the fourth quarter to win by a final score of 40-28.
"We knew Marion had gotten a lot better," said SCHS Head Coach Darren Alford. "Coach Law and his staff have done a good job and they've really improved a lot through the season. We had a good game plan and our kids executed it well. I think the difference in the game was our offensive line. Marion had some of the best defensive linemen we've played and our guys did a great job against them."
