The Schley County High softball team wrapped up a very successful season last week in the Class A Division II State Championship Tournament (Elite 8). They were the only Region 6 team to advance to the tournament and wound up as one of the last six teams standing.
"Overall, the season was a good one," said Head Coach Jody Sellars. "We had an extremely tough out-of-region schedule that included 4 games against two GIAA state champions, two games against a good Perry team, and two games against Lee County. The tough schedule prepared us for a playoff run in my opinion. We grew as the season progressed and got more consistent as the year went on."
