Chatt Officials give OK to Support Internet Efforts

 The Chattahoochee County Commission agreed to support companies seeking federal funding for internet projects and discussed various other items during their recent monthly meeting.
 Officials agreed with County Manager Thomas Weaver's recommendation that the local government offer letters of support to any company seeking federal funding to expand broadband internet access to rural areas of Georgia. Weaver noted that this is not making any commitment to help with funding, etc.
 The county commissioners voted to purchase an F-150 trunk for the local Emergency Management Agency (EMA). The cost is $49,000, which is $4,000 below the state contract price.
