Most Area Residents Eligible for Free Tax Help

 Way back in 1787, Benjamin Franklin wrote, "Our new Constitution is now established. Everything seems to promise it will be durable; but, in this world, nothing is certain except death and taxes."
 Those words proved prophetic, as not only are Americans still paying taxes, but paying them at a much higher rate. However, there is help available for most people.
 The Marion County Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Office can't get you out of paying your taxes, but they can get most people out of paying someone to help file their tax returns. The free service isn't for every single person, but generally speaking if you made less than $84,000 last year and you're filing as an individual and not as a business, then you likely qualify for this free service that is sanc...
