Marion County High Named Literacy Leader

  State School Superintendent Richard Woods visited Marion County High School in Buena Vista on Friday, January 31 to bring a newly-minted award: MCHS was one of 49 schools recognized as a Literacy Leader.
 This means that students taking the American Literature End of Course (EOC) test in the 2023-24 school term made tremendous growth, especially considering that there are over 470 high schools in the State of Georgia.
 For a high school to be named as a Literacy Leader, they must show growth and achievement. Details regarding this award may be found at www.gadoe.org.
