Marion County Issues Proclamation in Support of Event

The Marion County Commission recently adopted a proclamation in support of the upcoming local Lafayette event.
WHEREAS, the Marion County, Georgia, board of Commissioners join with the American Friends of Lafayette in celebrating the Bicentennial of Lafayette's Farewell Tour of America in 2024 -2025, and
WHEREAS, this celebration honors the visit to America of the last of the surviving Major Generals of the American Revolution, and
WHEREAS, Lafayette is recognized as the Hero of Two Worlds, both America and France, and
