The Sumter EMC Foundation recently awarded Communities Heart to Heart, Inc. of Buena Vista a grant to help purchase new technology for the VITA tax program that supports Marion and surrounding counties.
The VITA tax program is an invaluable resource for the community, ensuring citizens have the availability to free tax services, as well as free guidance over ever-changing tax laws. Over 1,700 citizens in nine counties were able to use these services in 2024.
