The Flint Energies Foundation recently granted Schley County Middle School Grow Getters Garden Club $5,000. The requested funds will be used to fund the startup of the "Grow Getters Garden Club."
Schley County Middle School Grow Getters Garden Club representative, Brook Barnes stated, "Schley County Middle School is establishing this garden club to benefit kids by teaching them how to grow plants and food. This grant will fund the startup of the Grow Getters Garden Club. The club will focus on teaching students with disabilities how to grow and take care of different plants, provide sensory stimulation and nutritional awareness."
