Schley Wildcats Advance to Sweet 16

Some people look forward to Christmas or birthdays, etc., as their favorite time of year. However, thanks to a strong baseball program Schley County High Head Baseball Coach Chuck Cheeks looks forward to the postseason and the excitement of playing for a shot at a championship.
The Wildcats battled their way to victory in the first round of the State Playoffs last week, defeating Mt. Zion of Carroll County is a best-of-three series played at home in front of a nice crowd of "Wildcat Nation".
As this week's newspaper was going to press, the Cats were headed to Rochelle for their Sweet 16 series against Wilcox County. A double-header was set for Tuesday, April 29, with a third, if-needed game, to be played on Wednesday, April 30 at 5 pm.
