The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County got some good news in court recently. Rather, all but one commissioner did.
Commissioner Damon Hoyte had previously appeared to make some progress with two lawsuits he filed against the Commission he serves on, but the Georgia Court of Appeals recently reversed a ruling in one case and sent the other one back to court to be reconsidered.
It started back when Commissioner Hoyte applied for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP), which was denied by his fellow commissioners. He sued the county, claiming that he didn't need the CUP approval because he said he technically already had approval.
