After more than four decades of service to community and country, Buena Vista's Chief of Police, Wendell Faulk, officially retired at the beginning of January 2026, closing a remarkable chapter in local law enforcement and public service.
Before ever wearing a police badge, the Chief first served his country in the United States Marine Corps. It was there, he says, that he learned the values that would guide the rest of his life - discipline, integrity, responsibility, and the importance of belonging to something greater than oneself.
