Magnolia Manor of Marion County held a very special birthday celebration last week in honor of a resident who reached a rare milestone of longevity.
It was the 100th birthday celebration of Annie Ruth Robinson Whitley, who was born on January 23, 1926 in Upatoi, Georgia to Henry and Georgia Robinson.
"Reaching 100 years of age is an extraordinary achievement," said Tina Gray, Activity Director. "We are honored to celebrate this meaningful milestone and recognize the life experiences and wisdom that Ms. Annie Whitley brings to our community."
Most people know her as Ruth, Grandma, or Ms. Whitley. She has lived in Marion County for 25 years.
