Schley Topples Turner 41-26 in Opener

The Schley County High Wildcats kicked off their 2026 football season in thrilling fashion last Friday night, marching into Ashburn and taking care of business on the road with a gritty 41-26 victory over the Turner County Titans.
The Wildcats set the tone early when sophomore quarterback Clay Hicks capped an efficient drive with an 8-yard touchdown strike to senior Jeremiah Johnson, followed by an Omar Cisneros PAT.
Turner County answered with a 37-yard touchdown run from Trayvian King, but a blocked kick kept the Wildcats ahead 7-6.
Schley County stretched the lead late in the second quarter when Hicks connected with sophomore receiver MJ Jones for a 40-yard TD pass, sending the Wildcats into the locker room up 14-6.
