The scoreboard in Albany read 46-42 last Friday night, a bitter pill to swallow for the Chattahoochee County High School football team. In a relentless, back-and-forth thriller against the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles, the Panthers dropped their first game of the season, falling to 3-1.
Sherwood, making a seamless transition to traditional 11-man football after dominating the 8-man level with a 12-0 state championship run in 2025, improved to 3-1 with the hard-fought win.
