Chattco has Two State Track Champs

Chattahoochee County High School had two individual state champs - Michelle Balmer and Jaylen Brown - at the Class A Division II Track & Field State Championship held last week at Kinnett Stadium in Columbus.
Michelle Balmer won the 400 meter state title by racing to a time of 1:01.23. She earned 10 points for the win and crossed the finish line almost a full second (0.89) ahead of the runner-up. Balmer also placed sixth in the 1600 meter race with a time of 6:17.63 to earn 3 points.
The 4x800 meter relay team of Michelle Balmer, Kate Brooks, Mickayla Williams, and Paige Campos also medaled for the Lady Panthers by placing sixth with a time of 12:04.70 (3 points).
