The Marion County Chamber of Commerce celebrated a growing new business Friday, June 30 by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for Planting Paradise Nursery in downtown Buena Vista.
The business, owned by Guy and Kay Grimsley, is the latest bright addition to the downtown area in general and to Fifth Avenue specifically, as it is located next to the building on the corner of Broad Street and Fifth Avenue that sports the recently dedicated Longleaf Pine Forest Mural.
Interim Chamber President Cody Currington welcomed the crowd of people who turned out for the event in spite of some really hot weather, which he noted was a sign of how exciting it is to have a new nursery in town.
