Locals give input for possible Greenway Development in Marion

A large crowd turned out for a special meeting to begin discussions about possible "Greenway Development" in Buena Vista and Marion County.
Loosely defined, "greenways" have been defined as natural areas that are linear in nature that connect recreational facilities, historic sites, and/or cultural features with each other or with population centers (or may serve as parks unto themselves). As natural areas, they are often scenic in nature and offer recreational opportunities like hiking, bicycling, canoeing, horseback riding, etc. Simply put, a greenway is land set aside for conservation and recreation.
