Believers gather to read Bible at Marion Courthouse

 Last Friday, July 14, believers gathered early in the morning in each of Georgia's 159 counties for the Annual Statewide Bible Reading. Around an hour later, the entire Bible had been read (with each county reading a different portion).
 In Buena Vista, a dozen people gathered on the front steps of the Marion County Courthouse. They began reading from the Bible at 7:14 a.m.
 The date and time were symbolic, as the event's scripture theme is 2 Chronicles 7:14 - "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
