The Buena Vista City Council took another step toward establishing a new city park during its recent monthly meeting.
The Council voted to enter into an agreement with Ragan Smith Landscape Architects to professional services for the future Seventh Avenue Park.
Mayor Kevin Brown said plans for the park are still tentative, but this is definitely a step in that direction. He said they will be asking the community for input before anything is finalized.
"They (Ragan Smith) will host three focus groups to gather suggestions and recommendations from the community," said Mayor Brown. "We will also determine costs and affordability during this process. Hopefully, this work will begin around a mid-August timeframe."
