Young Marion County resident Kaden McNeal, a rising freshman at MCHS, recently shined on the state level by qualifying for and playing well in the Georgia State Golf Association State Championship.
Kaden has played in the GSGA junior tour summer season for the past two summers. This summer he played three tournaments in the area. After a first place and two second-place finishes, he was ranked No. 17 in the state for the 12 to 14-year-old intermediate division and had climbed as high as No. 14. The 17th spot qualified him to receive an invitation to the GSGA State Championship in Braselton at the Chateau Elan Golf Course to play the Chateau course.
