Blue Collar Benefit set to help local resident

Many area residents enjoyed "Christmas at the Farm" last year thanks to Warren and Gina Teate of Marion County. Now, they and fellow volunteers are planning a new annual event - the Blue Collar Benefit - to raise money for a local resident in need.
The first annual event will raise funds for Tommy Matthews to help cover medical costs associated with a liver transplant he will be having soon. It will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 1202 Buffalo Road, Box Springs, GA 31801. Gates will open at 10 am.
"We're hoping we can do this type of benefit each year to help someone in our community," said Mrs. Teate.
