Schley Wildcats Trounce Tattnall Square

Schley County High lit up the scoreboard in an impressive 61-20 victory over Tattnall Square Academy in the season-opener in front of a huge crowd in Wildcat Stadium on Friday, Aug. 18.
The offense moved the ball well, but stalled in the red zone early on, resulting in a scoreless first quarter. However, the Wildcats scored three times in the second quarter to take a 20-0 lead by halftime.
They then dominated the second half, scoring six more times and cruising to an easy victory, which propelled them to the No. 1 state ranking. They were only forced to punt once, deep into the third quarter.
Head Coach Darren Alford said he was mostly pleased with his team’s performance, but still saw room for improvement.
