Candidates Qualify for Municipal Elections

Candidates across the region have qualified to seek election to municipal offices in the upcoming November 7 Municipal General Election.
In Buena Vista, all three positions up for election will have competition. Mayor Kevin T. Brown is seeking reelection and is being challenged by Dexter White.
City Council member Elizabeth Murray is seeking reelection and is being challenged by Syneetra Barkley.
Gladys Thomas, longtime Council member, is not seeking reelection. There are two candidates seeking to fill her seat - LaRenee Harvey and Genericka Minter.
