No. 1 ranked Schley County High took care of business with a dominating 45-6 win over region foe Taylor County last Friday, improving to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Region 6.
While the offense once again put plenty of points on the scoreboard, it was the defense that really shined in this victory. They held Taylor County to only 62 total yards on offense (negative-12 on the ground).
"I was impressed with how our defense played," said Head Coach Darren Alfrod. "They've primarily been a running team and we took the running game away from them. ... We had a good game plan and we came out and did what we wanted to do."
Jack Clark had a huge game on defense, leading the team with 10 tackles (4 for losses).
