Region 6 is loaded with strong teams this year, but nobody has been able to tame the Wildcats, who remain No. 1 in Class A, Division II after knocking off another No. 2 ranked team from within the region. Two weeks ago they beat No. 2 Macon County 34-7. Last Friday, they beat the Manchester High Blue Devils 27-7. The Cats are now 8-0 and 1 win away from officially clinching the region title.
The game that could have been more lopsided with a few breaks for the home team. However, they didn't need any breaks for the offense, thanks to their stout and stingy defense that scored another shutout (the only TD was on a kickoff return).
