The Sumter EMC Foundation has donated $4,600 to the Draneville Volunteer Fire Department to purchase two new sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) for its firefighters. This vital gear will keep firefighters safe while serving the Draneville and surrounding communities.
The grant funds assist with acquiring National Fire Protection Association-compliant structural firefighting coats, pants, helmets, boots, and other PPE for two firefighters. Having up-to-date gear is crucial for protecting the health and safety of responders against hazardous conditions when fighting fires.
