The No. 1 ranked Schley County High School Wildcats will kick off the postseason this Friday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 am when they host the Lincoln County Red Devils.
Schley County (10-0, Region 6 Champs) had a bye in the first round of the State Playoffs and is starting in the "Sweet 16" round. Lincoln County (7-4, Region 8's No. 3 seed) defeated Wilkinson County 41-0 last Friday in their first-round game.
Coach Alford described the Red Devils as a "solid team with better than average talent," adding that they have a fairly young squad that is very excited to be in the playoffs.
As for the Wildcats, excitement is extremely high and Coach Alford said he likes their chances.
