The Schley County High Wildcats (11-0, ranked No. 1) will host the Early County Bobcats (8-4) in the quarterfinals (Elite 8) of the State Playoffs this Friday, Nov. 24 at 7:30 pm.
This will be "Battle of the Cats 2.0", as the teams faced each other earlier this season. Schley won that game, on Sept. 1, by a score of 30-0. In addition to the defense not giving up any points, they held the Bobcats (who at that time were ranked No. 3) to 211 total yards. Meanwhile, Schley finished the game with 385 incredibly balanced yards (198 passing, 187 running).
"They'll be coming in with a chip on their shoulder and feeling like they have something to prove," said SCHS Head Coach Darren Alford. "They've gotten better since we played them earlier in the season, but we have, too."...
