Schley County High (13-0, ranked No. 1) will travel to Bowdon this Friday, December 1 to take on the Bowdon High Red Devils (11-2, ranked No. 5) in the semifinals (Final Four) of the State Playoffs. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
This is a rematch of last year's State Championship Game, in which Bowdon edged Schley 39-21 for the title.
"They're a different team this year, but they're really good again," said SCHS Head Coach Darren Alford, who noted that they have several new impact players who relocated to Bowdon this year.
Alford said the Red Devils' players to watch include quarterback Kyler McGrinn (#2), fullback Jordan Beasley (#8), and 6' 6" receiver Kaiden Protho (#1).
