The Marion County Commission is searching for an election supervisor with the next election less than two months away. Sandra D. Brown is resigning from that position, as well as her position as deputy registrar, effective this Friday, February 26.
Brown had requested an increase in pay for both positions. The County Commission had approved a raise, but she felt it was not enough, considering the increase in workload and responsibilities that have come with the increased scrutiny of elections in recent years.
