The No. 2 ranked Schley County High Wildcats won three games last week to extend their winning streak to double digits. Their 11th win in a row improved their record to 14-1. They also sit at the top of Region 6 with a record of 5-0 against region foes.
Head Coach Chuck Cheek said the Cats are having a lot of fun, but they still have a lot to work on and a long way to go. Fortunately, he says they're making progress and have the potential to get there.
"Record wise we certainly can't fuss," said Cheek. "We struggled early in the season defensively, but we knew we would get better. A lot of our guys played basketball and wrestled and didn't have a true preseason to get ready. I'm not complaining about that - playing multiple sports helps the guys develop...
