The Marion County Recreation Facility was "covered up" with people last Friday, March 29 for a special "Opening Day Ceremony."
This year's program featured 172 players on 14 teams. That's the most players ever for the Marion County Recreation Department.
Mark Williams handled the introduction of players and coaches for the ceremony, which wrapped up with County Commissioner and Rec. Coach Shane Grier tossing the first pitch to his batterymate, fellow Commissioner Norman Royal.
Afterwards it was time to "Play Ball!" with many games following.
