The Marion County Commission made some big moves during its monthly meeting last week. Commissioners decided on a path forward to use a $1.2 million grant for the water system, approved funding to repair an out-of-order bridge, and made a couple of road improvement decisions.
The Commission approved the parameters for a Water Infrastructure Project and agreed to put the project out for bids. While they have $1.2 in grant funds, they expect additional funds to be needed. The project is expected to dramatically improve the "water loss" issue, as well as to improve emergency preparedness.
