Area Athletes Earn Medals at State Track Championship

Schley County, Marion County, and Chattahoochee County all had state medalists in track & field.
SCHLEY COUNTY
Schley County Middle-High School made a very nice showing at the Class A Division II State Track & Field Championship, held May 9-11 at East Jackson High School in Commerce. They had 11 athletes called to the podium to receive medals.
The top eight finishers in each event at "State" are recognized on the podium and are awarded medals.
The Wildcats as a team amassed 30.5 points to finish in 7^th place out of 38 teams at the event. The Lady Wildcats had a total of 30 points to finish in 9^th place out of 37 girls teams.
