The Commission of the Unified Government of Cusseta-Chattahoochee County approved moving forward with plans to possibly establish a county sewage system, heard from New Horizons Behavioral Health Care, made an appointment to the Board of Health, and conducted various other items of business during its recent monthly meeting.
The commissioners approved a preliminary engineering report from Barge Engineering related to the proposed sewage system. The report outlined three options to get sewer services to the county. Commissioners have indicated that they are most interest in an option that will connect with Fort Moore.
"We are in the process of applying for a grant that would come close to fully funding the project," said County Manager Thomas Weaver.
