Stewart families about to get help with Healthy Start Program

Stewart County is among the areas about to get additional assistance with health issues.
The Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded additional funding to the Georgia State University Research Foundation to provide Healthy Start services within the West Central Health District.
The five-year grant is for a little more than one million dollars per year, for a total of about $5.2 million, and will allow the program to expand into the following counties: Clay, Crisp, Dooly, Sumter, Stewart, Talbot, and Taylor.
