Stewart County voters asked to continue sales tax for schools

 The Stewart County School System is pleased to announce the upcoming vote to renew the Education Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST) on November 5.
 "The one percent (one cent per dollar) sales tax on consumer goods established by the Georgia Legislature in 1996 is crucial for funding educational improvements in our community," said Superintendent Dr. Michael Robinson.
 Robinson released the following information to the public.
 Facts about the ESPLOST:
  · This is not a new tax. Stewart County sales tax will remain at its current level.
