The Georgia Department of Education recently released most of the scores (Math results aren't out yet) of last year's Milestones tests (2023-2024 school year). While The Journal has not had time to fully review them (look for scores from all area schools soon), we wanted to go ahead and share some "milestones" made by the Schley County School System.
Schley County eighth graders led the entire state in Science with 70.1% of students scoring "proficient or higher". They were also third in the state in Social Studies at 65.5%.
Schley's fifth graders also turned in some impressive scores - first in Reading (93.8% at Grade Level or Above) and third in Science (70.4% Proficient or Above).
