Webster BOE to set Tax Rate

The Webster County Board of Education has announced its intent to keep the millage (property tax) rate essentially the same for another year.
They have proposed a rate of 16.919, which is actually a tad lower than the current rate of 16.923. However, due to changes in the tax digest (the total amount of taxable property in the county) the slightly lower rate is projected to bring in a slightly higher total amount of tax revenue.
The estimated net tax digest value is currently $104,024,627, which is up from 2023's estimate of $102,800,703....
