Schley County voters are being asked to approve the continuation of the local government Special Local Option Sales Tax, also commonly referred to as the "penny tax", which adds 1 cent to each dollar spent in local stores.
There will be a special election held on the matter in conjunction with the General Election on November 5.
If approved again, it will continue the current sales tax already in place for another six years and generate an estimated $2.3 million for the county government.
